New in manufacturer’s cardboard shipper, w/ custom plastic display stand.
In recognition of the 75th playing of the World Series, Major League Baseball commissioned the Rawlings Company to create for the first time a special commemorative baseball to be used in World Series play.

Yankees came back from 2-0 deficit
to defeat Dodgers in six games, the
first team in Series history to win four straight
after dropping first two games.)
Original made-in-Haiti commemorative baseball
is identical to those used during actual
World Series
games.
As is characteristic with baseballs produced in Haiti during this time period, there is medium toning/staining of the leather.
Note:
Original 1978 World Series commemorative baseballs have “Haiti” stamped on the sweet spot.
Balls without this mark
–or manufactured in another country–
are reproductions.
